Christmas Lights With the Kids
24 11 2009Tomorrow night (Wednesday) we are making our trip to Lake Lanier to see their Christmas Lights. Last year we mad the trip twice. Once when my parents were in town for Thanksgiving and then just the 4 of us. It’s a nice 6 mile drive through the sights and sounds of Christmas and then a stop at Santa’s Village for Hot Chocolate and roasting marshmallows. Where do you go to see Christmas Lights??

Reason’s To Go With Media Shout V4
20 11 2009Tonight at dinner we were talking about why someone should either upgrade or purchase V4 of Media Shout. Here is what I think are the reasons:
- VJ Mode – change backgrounds on the fly in the middle of the song
- Text Editor – if you can edit text in PowerPoint you are good to go
- 3rd screen – have a screen on your back wall visible from stage with black background white text only
- Web interface – so easy to truly display and maneuver on a web page
- Everything out of the box – no modules to purchase (for example 52 versions of the bible come standard)
- 3 licenses per site standard – now you can legally use it on 3 pc’s at your site

Wednesday What’s Up??
18 11 2009Wow this has been a fast week already. Lot’s to do today to wrap up the weekend stuff as I am heading to the National Youth Worker Conference in downtown ATL with Media Shout for the weekend. Been a while since I have been on the road for more than a day at a time. Will be nice to get back into the Media Shout loop and hang out with some of the team. Still lots to put my arms around, on my plate this week and next week:
- Spring Growth Group Catalog
- Christmas Eve service
- January Series
- New stage set for the new year
- February series – we are giving away 2 weddings in one day
- Web Site and Logo redesign

So tonight starts the journey…….
16 11 2009Alex has decided that basketball is going to be his game of choice. Tonight we start the journey to play basketball someday for the meca of all basketball programs.
That’s right….someday he will playing for the Kentucky Wildcats!!

WOW!!
15 11 2009Made a quick trip to New York on Friday and Saturday to hang out at the Northeast COG Leadership Summit with our friend Brett Seals. We got to lead a breakout on Saturday on media and tech stuff. It was a blast!! Most fun I have had this year leading a breakout. Over the next couple of days I will be posting some things we talked about. Until then I am going to go crash.
